Roberto dos Reis Alvarez é Diretor Executivo da Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC) e pesquisador da Arizona State University (ASU). Possui doutorado em Engenharia de Produção pela COPPE/UFRJ. Foi treinado em Qualidade & Produtividade pelo Japan Productivity Center (Tóquio, Japão) e cursou o Graduate Studies Program (GSP) da Singularity University, no Centro de Pesquisa Ames da NASA, em Mountain View (Califórnia, EUA). Antes de trabalhar na GFCC, ocupou diferentes posições de gestão na Agência Brasileira de Desenvolvimento Industrial. Roberto também trabalhou como consultor de gestão e operações (manufatura e logística), foi co-fundador de 3 empresas de tecnologia e ministrou cursos de pós-graduação em diferentes universidades. É um palestrante global e realizou investimentos anjos no Brasil e nos EUA.
Roberto dos Reis Alvarez is the Executive Director of the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils and a research scholar at Arizona State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Roberto was trained in Quality and Productivity at the Japan Productivity Center and Exponential Technologies and the NASA AMES-based Singularity University. Before joining the GFCC, he was a Senior Manager at the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development. Roberto also worked as a management and operations consultant, co-founded 3 tech companies and taught graduated courses in different Brazilian universities. He is a global speaker and has made angel investments in Brazil and the U.S.
